Nestled on Hampton Hill High Street, just steps from Royal Bushy Park, Brasserie 1600 is where timeless British flavours meet modern brasserie dining.

Founded by Chef Lalit Kumar and Chef Arvind Yadav, two chefs with over four decades of combined experience, Brasserie 1600 is a celebration of heritage, seasonality, and community.

Arvind, who honed his craft at London icons like Dishoom, Hilton Bankside, and InterContinental Park Lane, adds: “We want to create a space that feels both familiar and new—a place where classic British dishes are reimagined for today.”

Lalit’s journey spans five continents, from Michelin-starred kitchens in France to his role as Executive Head Chef at InterContinental London Park Lane. “For me, Brasserie 1600 is about bringing Britain’s finest ingredients back to the heart of the community,” he explains.

Long Story Short

Together, they have created a modern British brasserie “Brasserie 1600” rooted in local sourcing and sustainable practices. From a Sunday Roast to innovative seasonal plates, every dish tells a story of British produce at its best.

The number 1600 marks a turning point in history, when the private hunting grounds of Hampton Court Palace began their transformation into the Royal Parks. For Chefs Lalit Kumar and Arvind Yadav, the name reflects resilience, history, and the promise of community
